Writopia Lab Writing Workshops

Workshops (More Inclusive)

Poetry, Fiction, & Creative Nonfiction

International

In Creative Writing workshops, kids and teens are given the space to work on and share their writing with a group of peers and an instructor—a published author or produced playwright. In this multi-genre workshop, writers may find themselves drawn to any number of forms and genres, including fiction, personal narrative/memoir, playwriting, and screenwriting. We inspire and help writers set and achieve their own writing goals, and all writers are encouraged to complete at least one well-developed, polished piece of writing over the course of their workshop. Workshops also include fun, productive writing games that help writers develop their craft, explore new genres, and better understand their characters and narratives.

Through our innovative workshop method, we empower kids and teens as peer leaders as they gain skills in writing, editing, analysis, and effective communication. Writopia Lab has established a community where young writers can find each other, connect via their literary passions, and have lots of fun!
