The Americans Against Gun Violence National High School Essay Contest awards a total of at least $15,000 in scholarships to twelve winners, with the option of providing additional awards. Students must submit an original essay of 500 words or fewer describing their thoughts on a prompt about the gun violence epidemic issued by Americans Against Gun Violence each year.
